The legendary band, Kool and the Gang, were in Nairobi for the Blankets & Wine, to perform for their fans. The band gave an electrifying show amidst their older and younger audiences who sang along to their 70s and 80s hits.
The band rose to stardom in the 70s with their memorable songs and lyrics that have continued to be a favorite for many till today. The band has continued to evolve and now includes younger band members who have continued the band’s legacy by fusing the older sound with a much younger sound which helps the band remain relevant.
Some of the favorites performed included Cherish, Celebration, Get Down on It, Fresh, Jungle Boogie among others.
