Kiswahili is a language that most people in sub-saharan africa easily understand. An music artist whose form of communication is in that language is assured of a mammoth audience.
Diamond who happens to be the star in Bongo Music that heavily uses swahili verses is the most respected and followed artist in the whole of sub-saharan Africa.
As you move north of Kenya into the wilderness the only followed artist besides Bob Marley is no doubt Diamond and you will never know how famous this guy is until you go further North to Lodwar and even all the way to Juba in South Sudan.
This means that all mobile operators in the region should keep sending this guy a cheque as his songs are the ring-backs and ringtones the masses are listening to.
